Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) recognizes BWBTA as its official Chapter for Maryland and Washington, DC. BWBTA is a non-profit organization.
BWBTA's members stay current on the hot topics of today's ever changing world on operational, financial, and industry related issues and information that is critical to the performance of corporations and their travel departments.
Progress Through Education, Communication and Innovation
The Baltimore Washington Business Travel Association (BWBTA) cordially invites you to join a growing number of progressive business travel professionals, and their firms, in a unified endeavor to promote greater legislative awareness, comprehensive educational programs and a broad spectrum of other activities designed to make an impact on the ever-changing corporate travel industry.
Membership is classified as follows:

Direct members who, by virtue of their employment, are actively engaged in the procurement of business travel. Direct members are business travel executives from the government, association or corporate sectors, directly responsible for managing or procuring travel related services for their firms.

Allied membership represents corporations supplying travel related services such as airlines, limousine or car rental companies, bus or rail companies, hotels or motels, tour companies servicing business travelers, travel related media companies, travel related credit/charge card companies and travel related automation companies.

Travel Management Companies who represent and are contracted by corporate travel managers. The travel management companies must be business travel companies and their representatives shall be management personnel, on-site managers or sales personnel, not agents.

Networking: Our organization provides a forum for both business travel managers and vendor representatives to meet bimonthly. Our program schedule allows time for members to address needs, challenges and to share best practices.

Education Programs: The Baltimore Washington Business Travel Association has initiated an on-going endeavor to provide its membership with a series of informative educational programs that focus on developments in technology, management technique, benchmarking and personal achievement. These programs utilize panel discussions, public speakers, trade shows and specialized presentations.

National Affiliation: As a recognized affiliate of the Global Business Travel Association, BWBTA has access to travel resources specifically designed to keep business travel professionals abreast of legislative developments and issues regarding safety, service and any future developments that would affect the travel industry.

Web Site: The BWBTA web site offers an additional resource for members, visitors and industry suppliers.

Members can access the membership roster (not for solicitation purposes), by-laws and job opportunities through the Members Only section. If you are a supplier you are listed with a hyperlink to your web site. This is one of may benefits available to BWBTA members.
